A screw conveyor is a mechanical device that uses an electric motor to drive a screw to rotate and move materials to achieve conveying purposes. In terms of conveying form, they are divided into axial screw conveyors and non axial screw conveyors, and in terms of appearance, they are divided into U-shaped screw conveyors and tubular screw conveyors.

U-shaped screw conveyors are divided into two types: axial and non axial: axial screw conveyors have a central shaft, which is suitable for conveying materials that are not easy to stick and have certain friction. The wear resistance of screw conveyors has certain requirements, and the shaft and internal bearings for conveying screws in non axial conveyors do not exist. This eliminates the problems of material accumulation and flow blockage. Therefore, the axial screw conveyor is suitable for conveying materials with high viscosity, high moisture content, and poor fluidity, such as sludge, garbage, etc.
